Whip Cream

Who doesn’t love whip cream? It goes great on pies, fruit, in hot chocolate, by itself, ice cream sundaes… you get the picture.

The whip cream in a can grosses me out! Even though my kids could eat it without allergy issues I won’t buy it. Instead I make my own. It takes no time at all.

All you need is:

1 cup heavy whipping cream

Powdered sugar (depends on how sweet you like it)

1 teaspoon Vanilla

Optional: peppermint extract

In your stand mixer attach the whip.

Pour in your cream and turn on high (as high as it will go without spewing cream all over your kitchen).

After several minutes it will begin to thicken up, pour in your vanilla and begin adding powdered sugar slowly.

Take a taste test after you add more sugar, once it is to the sweetness you like and a thick consistency (when the beater is lifted the whip creams stays on the beater without dripping off) you are done and it is ready to add to your hot drink or dessert.

If you like add about 1 teaspoon peppermint extract at the very end.

Peppermint whip cream is one of the best things to add to hot chocolate.
